By: , February 3, 2017

The Full Story

The number of garbage compactors owned by the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) is expected to be increased soon.

This follows Cabinet’s approval of a US$1.8 million contract to Kingston Industrial Agencies for the supply of 11 McNeilus garbage compactors for the Authority.

Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator the Hon. Ruel Reid, made the announcement during the recent post-Cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House.

The Authority provides solid waste management services across the island in order to safeguard public health while helping to create an environment that is healthy and aesthetically pleasing for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
