New Year’s Day to Be Observed On Monday January 2, 2012

The public is being advised that New Year's Day 2012 which falls on Sunday January 1, will be observed on Monday January 2, 2012.

This is in keeping with the provisions of the Holidays (Public General) Act, which states that if New Year Day (January 1) falls on a Sunday, then the Monday (January 2) will be observed as a public holiday.
