Mobile Clinics for Clarendon Sept. 28

The Clarendon Health Department will be instituting a schedule of mobile clinics to serve communities where health centres are inoperable. Some 22 health facilities in the parish remain closed after the passage of Hurricane Ivan.
The mobile team, which will consist of a Public Health Inspector, Public Health Nurse, a District Medical Officer or Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Health Educator, will begin operating Tuesday, September 28. This will be in place for six weeks.
Teams will begin operating in designated areas from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m at the following venues.
Portland Cottage – Tuesday, Sept. 28Rocky Point – Thursday, Sept. 30Thompson Town – Tuesday, October 5Mitchell Town – Wednesday, October 6Lionel Town – Wednesday, October 13
Kellits and Frankfield are to be added to this list. Community members will be advised further as to when the units will visit their area and the location from which services will be offered.
