KSAC Town Clerk to Demit Office

Town Clerk at the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), Errol Greene, is to demit office shortly.

This was disclosed by Mayor of Kingston, Senator Angela Brown Burke, at the monthly KSAC meeting held on Tuesday, January 14, at Council chambers, Church Street, downtown Kingston.

Mr. Greene, who will be going on pre-retirement leave from the KSAC, will be placed at the St. Thomas Parish Council.

“Given his experience, he has been asked to assist the St. Thomas Parish Council for the rest of the year,” she said. Mr. Greene will serve in the capacity of Parish Council Secretary/Manager at the Council.

The Mayor, along with several representatives from both sides of the political divide, heaped accolades on the senior public servant for his sterling contribution over the years.

Mayor Burke noted that his professionalism and wealth of knowledge are significant virtues and will be beneficial to any organisation or task, which he is assigned.

“We wish him well and we thank him sincerely for his services,” she said, adding that an official farewell ceremony will be held at a later date.

Mr. Greene joined the KSAC on March 4, 1999.
