Eye Screenings for Clarendon, St. Catherine, and St. Thomas in May

The Ministry of Health’s Jamaica/Cuba Eye Care Programme will be conducting screening sessions in Clarendon, St. Catherine and St. Thomas, May 12 – 21.
Screening will take place at: Princess Margaret Hospital, St. Thomas, May 12/19; St. Jago Health Centre, St. Catherine, May 13; and Clarendon Health Department, May 14/21. Screenings will be conducted in other parishes at a later date, and the public will be duly noted.
Persons will be screened for: Cataract, Pterygium and Diabetic Retinopathy. The public is being advised that the programme will not be able to accommodate those seeking treatment for conditions other than those listed, or for children. The programme is not currently in a position to provide such assistance.
