(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)Â Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) are meeting in a special session today (November 4) Â in Trinidad and Tobago. High on the agenda is the discussion on the Ebola virus and the Chikungunya virus.
This 17th Special Meeting of the Conference, which is being held at the Diplomatic Centre, St. Ann’s, will include Ministers with responsibility for Health and representatives from Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), which has taken lead responsibility for the regional response to the diseases, will also be present.
