Results for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination will be available by midnight.

This was disclosed by Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Senator the Hon. Ruel Reid, during a press conference held at his National Heroes Circle offices in Kingston, today (August 18).

“Students, parents and schools can access the results of (both exams) online by midnight,” the Minister said.

In the meantime, Senator Reid informed that, overall, the results of the examinations “showed strong to marginal improvements in some subjects and a marginal decline to steady performance in others”.

He commended all principals, teachers and instructional leaders in secondary-level institutions and community colleges for their hard work in preparing the students.

“Thanks for the support of parents and other stakeholders… the Ministry… and the various teams at the Overseas Examinations Commission, which coordinates the administering of the external exams,” he said.

“The entire Ministry of Education, Youth and Information is encouraged. We congratulate our students on their performance and wish them continued success in pursuing their education,” the Minister added.
